Email OTP
- After registration, check your inbox for a 6-digit code.
- Enter the code at /account/verify-email (codes expire after about 15 minutes).
- If the code expired, click Resend OTP from the same page (cooldown applies).
- Google sign-in users skip this step — email is auto-confirmed.
Phone verification (required to bid when enabled)
- Open the bidder verification wizard from a lot bid box or account prompts.
- Enter your mobile number in E.164 form when possible (e.g. +15551234567).
- Request an SMS code, then enter it to mark the number as verified.
- Complete payment verification next — all three steps are required before bidding.
frontend/messages.help.tip: SMS is sent by the platform’s configured provider (Twilio and/or Plivo Verify). You do not need to know which provider is active — just enter the code from the text message. Authenticator-app 2FA under Account → Security is separate from phone OTP.
